THE IMAGINE CLUB NARROWS THE GAP
– NO LONGER POLES APART

The Imagine Club, working with the British Council, continued with the exciting programme of encouraging Polish children to learn English. After an eye-opening visit for 16 children from Chiddingstone Primary school to Poznan in Poland, The Imagine Club has now successfully hosted a group of 20 Polish children with their teachers.

CHIDDINGSTONE – TRIP SUMMARY

The visitors took part in a whirlwind programme which was packed full of excitement and education:

THURSDAY – arrive, meet the families and enjoy a fish & chip supper.

FRIDAY – visit Chiddingstone school, visit to Hever Castle, evening bonfire & fireworks with a BBQ and games.

SATURDAY – Imagine day (see YUK!!!), film night followed by teachers dinner.

SUNDAY – Sightseeing in London with a farewell family dinner with performances and games.

MONDAY – Final farewell & depart for airport. Feedback from Poland has been very positive with one Polish father reporting that his daughter now speaks to her family in English which sadly no-one else in the family can understand!

It is hoped that the project can continue so that we can offer these opportunities to more children. Please contact us if you feel you can support us in any way.
