The Imagine Club - stimulating young minds

Friday, 31 October 2003 "LIGHT & ENERGY"

A full day of interactive theatre and action packed workshops to be held in the unique surroundings of Chiddingstone Castle

The morning session will be a theatre performance. The Wizard of Castle Magic is a show specifically written for young people and loosely based on The Sorcerers Apprentice. Have a look at the website www.wizardofcastlemagic.co.uk

Delegates need to bring a packed lunch (clearly labelled please) but will be provided with squash and biscuits.

During the afternoon there will be a series of workshops and each child will attend each workshop.

We are delighted that Southampton University have agreed for the LIGHTWAVE roadshow to be present at our day. Part of the educational outreach programme they offer a fascinating series of hands on experiments and experiences.
Phil the Photon is their main character and you can learn more in advance of meeting him by looking at their highly interactive website www.lightwave.soton.ac.uk

Kar2ouche wanted to return for a second time after showing us how the Romans lived at our last Imagine club event.
Computer based story boarding with children creating scenarios using 3d characters and props in a variety of backgrounds.
Written, staged and narrated by the children themselves.

Our 3rd workshop is still being finalised and we will give out more detail nearer the day.

We aim to start at around 10.00 and finish at 4.00 but again this will be confirmed nearer the time.

The price is £14.00 for the first child in a family, £12.00 for the second and £10.00 for any others. Please click here to make a reservation.

Our last Imagine day was a total sellout and we could not accommodate everybody that wanted to participate. This time we can take more children but please do book early to avoid disappointment.

If you have any questions then please contact John Gordon-Reid on 01892 871217 or send him an e-mail .

We would like to thank APPLAUSE the rural touring scheme for their assistance in staging the event.
